2025/2026 Board Goals
Board Goal 1: Professional Development
The Board of Education, having completed over half the required training, aims to achieve NJSBA Board Certification by April 1, 2026. This commitment underscores our dedication to effective governance as a board team and continuous improvement- By October 2025 the board meeting workshop dates will be established to achieve this goal.
Board Goal 2: Governance and Board Effectiveness
The Board of Education will work to increase committee effectiveness, transparency, and communication by:
- Committees will review and establish annual board committee goals to be board approved by November 2025
- Establish Board annual planning schedule in December 2025
Board Goal 3: Onboarding and Compliance
The Board of Education will monitor and support the new Superintendent of Schools successful transition to ensure high leadership standards and promote continuity in student achievement- By October 2025, establish the superintendent evaluation calendar including the CSA evaluation workshop
Board Goal 4: Fiscal Responsibility and Resource Allocation
During the 2025/2026 school year the Board of Education will:- Oversee the progress of all capital improvement projects and work collaboratively with the administration to evaluate district facilities, ensuring that infrastructure needs are addressed through updated long-range planning that supports safe and modern learning
- Maintain strong fiscal oversight by approving budget decisions that align with educational priorities, communicating openly with the public, and ensuring that taxpayer funds are managed transparently and responsibly to preserve high-quality programs and services
